About Us

The Cambridge University Robotics society (CuR) was founded by students from Cambridge University Engineering Department (CUED) in 2015. Since then, we have grown into a flourishing society with over 100 active members. Our flagship projects include the MiniBots competition, and inter-uni UniBots competition where teams spend time building a robot to then compere. We also run many outreach events throughout the year to help educate and inspire the younger generation.

We also have active projects which anyone can take part in such as INMOOV, Wise Angel, and Combat Robotics Cambridge

  • Making robotics accessible to all

  • ⬤ Delivering engaging projects through various objectives and levels

⬤ Supporting diversification of people through equal opportunity

⬤ Enabling inexperienced people into doing projects

⬤ Fostering a community – people who make robots aren’t robots

⬤ Support members in starting new projects

  • CuR projects are open to ALL students from the University, not just engineers! Our activities take place in the Engineering Department, usually in in the Dyson Centre workshop or the BIRL laboratory.
